The Future of Charleston Collegiate

In every respect Charleston Collegiate School has an exciting future, but financial support beyond tuition is essential to the school's success. Founded over thirty years ago as Sea Island Academy, the school has served the area's residents well. As the region has experienced explosive growth, the school is poised for a new era of expansion. In the last two years the enrollment of the school has doubled.

To meet the challenges of such dramatic growth, the school has expanded many aspects of the curriculum and introduced innovative programs to help meet the demands of our mission statement. In addition to a five-day program for three- and four-year-olds, an Academic Achievement Program — staffed by professionals — provides services and/or accommodations to meet the unique needs of individual students. A larger array of courses, especially Advanced Placement courses, allows inspired students to challenge themselves intellectually. Expansion of the technology, science and foreign language programs is vital to Charleston Collegiate’s future. Spanish is now part of the curriculum for grades Preschool through 12, and additional science labs and technical aids have been incorporated.

Charleston Collegiate finds itself in the midst of exciting times. There are no private schools in the area that offer the same unique mix of challenge and support in a non-denominational, co-educational environment. Charleston Collegiate is rapidly becoming one of the most interesting small schools in the nation.
