Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at Charleston Collegiate is a wonderful way to be involved in your children's school, to model for them your community spirit, and to get to know other wonderful CCS parents! Following is a general description of volunteer opportunities, if you are interested in any of these, please contact Olivia French at 559-5506 ext. 223.

Admission: The Office of Admission appreciates volunteer help throughout the year, especially during the fall and winter.

Board: The Board of Trustees welcomes non-trustees to participate on board committees.

Booster Club: The Booster Club organizes activities to support Charleston Collegiate's Athletic Department.

Development: The Development Office, supported by the Development Committee, is responsible for fundraising to supplement tuition. Development events include our Annual Fund Drive, Grandparents and Grandfriends' Day, Alumni Weekend, and more.

Graduation: This wonderful event is the culmination of the students' Charleston Collegiate experience. Eleventh grade parents assist with set-up and clean-up and organize a reception immediately following the ceremony.

Library: The Librarian needs regular assistance to shelve books, and periodic help to scan the shelves for misplaced books and to help with new book processing. The year-end inventory requires lots of assistance. Our beautiful library and wonderful librarian make this volunteer work a pleasure.

Parents' Association: The Charelston Collegiate Parents' Association sponsors a variety of projects to promote community within the school. CCSPA volunteers organize staff appreciation events, organize the Book Fair that supports the school library, serve as Grade Parents, plan hospitality for school meetings, plan the Oyster Roast, organize a fundraiser for the Fine Arts Department, organize the annual Auction, Golf Tournament and Home Tour, and more. CCSPA offers many opportunities to make great friends while modeling the responsibilities of good citizenship for our children.
