It is important that families not let concerns about tuition costs prevent them from learning more about the advantages of a CCS education.
We believe that the cost of a CCS education should not be a deterrent to any family, regardless of income. We know that the published costs of independent school educations may seem daunting, and we have worked hard to change that perception.
At Charleston Collegiate School, we believe that the advantages of an independent school should be available to as many academically qualified students as possible. That is why financially qualifying families may be able to take advantage of our Sliding Scale Tuition which is designed to increase access and give families the opportunity to pay according to their demonstrated need.
To qualify for Sliding Scale Tuition, families must demonstrate need through a standard financial aid application process administered by TADS. A family’s calculated ability to pay will be considered along with a student’s qualifications and the school’s budget, when determining the level of tuition each family will pay.
Please note that there are many factors that go into determining a family’s tuition level, including the school's budget and enrollment needs. Additional factors include, but are not limited to: family size, the number of children attending tuition-charging schools, and assets and liabilities not reflected in household income. Not all families who qualify for a reduced rate of tuition will be offered the rate for which they qualify.
