Charleston Collegiate School enrollment terms state that tuition is due in full for the entire year regardless of a student’s enrollment status. The Tuition Refund Plan, otherwise known as tuition insurance, is in place to protect your financial investment in the event that your student does not complete the school year. Participation in the Tuition Refund Plan is required for all quarterly and monthly payment plan familiesThe coverage is optional for those choosing the annual plan since their tuition is paid in full prior to the beginning of the school year, but still highly encouraged. The premium for this coverage is calculated at 3% of the tuition for your child(ren)’s grade level(s), and will be billed in August for the 21-22 school year.

Due to the demand for financial assistance and the amount of funds available, we strongly encourage you to complete the application process as soon as possible.

Due to the significant number of applications CCS receives, we strictly follow the guidelines below to promote a fair and equitable distribution of financial assistance to those who qualify and meet our deadlines. All funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis as the budget allows.

Financial assistance awarded may change from year to year based on a family's financial profile, the child’s academic standing, and the availability of funds. Please know that all financial information is kept strictly confidential.
The process of applying for a Charleston Collegiate Scholarship is identical to the process of applying for Funded and Unfunded Scholarships.

Charleston Collegiate School offers a limited amount of need-based, privately funded Scholarships which provide tuition assistance to qualified CCS Students. These scholarship funds are made possible by generous donors to Charleston Collegiate School. Scholarship students must qualify for financial assistance and must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Funded scholarships help supplement the unfunded scholarship program. Funded scholarship are awarded to students that uphold the highest standard of conduct on and off campus, maintain high academic achievement, stay involved in school activities and set a good example for other students.
Funded Scholarship and Unfunded Scholarship (formally known as Financial Aid) applications for the school year will open in the winter of the prior school year. It is important that you submit your paperwork by the deadlines below to be eligible for tuition assistance. We will continue to use Smart Aid to process all applications.
  • Applications will be available in Smart Aid.
  • The deadline for returning families to submit applications will be emailed.
  • Applicants should use their tax information to complete the application, and will be prompted, if needed, to upload tax information for further review. CCS reserves the right to adjust tuition assistance amounts after reviewing the updated documentation.
  • Returning families applying for unfunded scholarships (financial aid) or funded scholarships who do not submit completed applications by December 6th will be at risk of not receiving assistance.
  • Awards will be available to view Enrollment Contracts in CCS Connect.
