Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The accounting assistant will:

- Maintain W-9 files.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile purchase orders, requests for payments, and reimbursement

- Assist departments with their budget related questions and verify budget availability when entering requests.
- Enter all related information in the software system.
- Provide PO information to vendors and place orders for departments, including the Business Office.
- Prepare, at least weekly, checks for payments and mail such payments.
- Prepare, at least weekly, bank deposits and enter all related information in the software system.
- Post accounts receivable multiple times per week in the accounting software.
- Assist with reconciliation of monthly bank statements.
- Prepare new hire, coaching, and substitute teacher packets and assist the CFO with HR training and meetings at the beginning of the school year and at other times if necessary.

Reporting to the Head of School, this position offers an excellent opportunity to become involved in all aspects of a dynamic Pre-K through 12 independent school.
The Director of Marketing & Communications will be responsible for articulating and promoting the CCS mission, strategic goals, and institutional brand. This person will create and execute an overall communications strategy while collaborating with various departments, most notably Development and Admissions. School Resource Officer
CCS is looking for a dedicated school resource officer to provide security and develop safety plans for our school. The school resource officer's responsibilities include crime prevention of any kind, developing the best safety procedures for potential threats in the school, conducting drills with students and staff, de-escalating situations between students, and ensuring no unwanted visitors enter campus. The school resource officer is the main security resource of the school and is a retired police officer or military personnel.
To be successful as a school resource officer, you should have patience and an even temper, as well as the ability to think quickly and strategically in a crisis. You should be a moral and ethical role model for students.
School Resource Officer Responsibilities:

Serves as the initial first responder and school safety coordinator for campus emergencies.

Patrolling the school grounds, monitoring alarms, ensuring overall safety, viewing videos and monitoring camera surveillance, and watching for strangers or suspicious activity.

Works collaboratively with public safety agencies to serve as a liaison between school and community to deter criminal and delinquent behavior.

Working directly with school principals and staff to foster a better understanding of the law enforcement function to maintain a secure learning environment.

Directing foot and auto traffic if necessary.

Controlling visitor and employee building access.
-
Breaking up fights and arguments and assisting all parties to talk through their differences.

Detaining students who are breaking the law in regards to drugs, bringing weapons to school, or making threats to the school.

Remanding students who commit offenses to the respective principal.

Conducting physical searches of students' property if they are suspected of breaking the law and ensuring the school administrators' safety during these searches.

Giving assembly presentations on school safety, drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, and online safety.

Protecting the school and students against theft and property damage, and assisting in medical emergencies.

Maintaining positive relationships and contact with students to prevent juvenile delinquency.

Conducting courses and workshops for students, staff, and parents to promote social awareness, relationship skills, self-management, and responsible decision making.

Coordinates security for crowd and vehicle control at extracurricular activities and special events.

Working with the school counselor and support staff to assist students when referrals to service agencies are necessary, or to assist in conflict resolutions.

Complete reports on anything observed while on duty.

Respond to any emergencies.

Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrators or their designee.
School Resource Officer Requirements:

Experience as a police officer or military personnel with experience in emergency response and firearms.

Valid SC Driver’s License.

A background in criminal justice may be advantageous.

A first aid and CPR certificate.

Summer Camp Counselor
Summer Under the Oaks is a day camp for children rising Pre-K(4yrs) to 5th grade. We are seeking energetic and responsible camp counselors to provide a safe and memorable experience for our campers. Counselors will be responsible for an assigned group of campers. Duties include monitoring snack and lunch, overseeing transitions to and from scheduled classes, and facilitating and participating in group activities.
Our camp program is 7 weeks long, starting June 5th, and runs through July 28th. There is no camp the week of July 3rd to observe the Fourth of July. Hours are from 8 am-4 pm or 9 am-5 pm.
Aftercare Teacher
Specific Hours: M-F 2:30-5:00 or 6:00pm - All year around!
