Our Approach

The College Counseling Program at Charleston Collegiate School empowers students through individualized, collaborative guidance that honors each student's unique path while fostering the creativity, curiosity, and confidence needed to thrive in higher education and beyond. Development

We begin the college counseling journey in middle school by helping students explore their interests, develop study skills, and understand the connection between their current learning and future opportunities. Through age-appropriate activities, students begin to envision their potential paths while building the academic habits and self-awareness that will serve them throughout high school.

We would love to welcome you to our campus this fall to meet with our students beginning the last week of August. We have two convenient time slots available for college visits throughout the week:

Morning Session: 11:50 AM - 12:35 PM
Afternoon Session: 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM

To schedule your visit, please use your Scoir scheduling system, which makes booking your visit quick and convenient. If the time slots available don't work with your travel schedule, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our teachers are flexible and willing to allow students to miss some class time to connect with college representatives.

Charleston Collegiate School is pleased to share that we've implemented an innovative College & Career Readiness platform called Scoir (pronounced "score"). This transformative system embodies our commitment to empowering students with the creativity, curiosity, and confidence needed to thrive in higher education by streamlining the process of requesting, processing, sending, and tracking all application-related documents while making the college search genuinely engaging and joyful.

Through Scoir's dynamic interface, colleges come to life with immersive pictures, videos, and interactive links showcasing vibrant campus communities, enabling our students to discover educational pathways that align with their unique values, talents, and aspirations. The platform provides families with sophisticated financial calculators for thoughtful decision-making about affordability, while enhanced communication tools strengthen our collaborative guidance approach, keeping students, families, and counselors connected throughout the application process.
