Charleston Collegiate School’s mission and philosophy is to provide an excellent academic education to a diverse student body.

We believe that we can attract and support a broader population of students by providing tuition assistance to students who would not otherwise be able to attend our school for financial reasons. To that extent, our Board of Trustees commits a portion of the operating budget each year to supplement financial assistance to qualifying families.

Additionally, the school solicits sponsorships from friends of Charleston Collegiate who give generously to support our Sliding Scale Tuition and scholarship programs.

Due to the significant number of applications CCS receives, we strictly follow the guidelines below to promote a fair and equitable distribution of financial assistance to those who qualify and meet our deadlines. All funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis as the budget allows.

Parents of students who are granted Sliding Scale Tuition or other financial assistance will continue to be responsible for the purchasing of uniforms and required school supplies (as listed, per grade, prior to the beginning of each school year).

Sliding Scale Tuition amounts and other financial assistance awarded may change from year to year based on a family's financial profile, the child’s academic standing, and the availability of funds. Please know that all financial information is kept strictly confidential.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 contains a provision that allows use of Section 529 savings to pay for private K-12 education up to $10,000 per year, per child starting in 2018.  Establishing and funding a Section 529 plan can provide significant tax benefits.  See your investment advisor and accountant for more information.
