The purpose of the course is to enhance educators’ skills for developing, implementing, and sustaining project-based learning (PBL) approaches in their institutions. You can also earn one graduate professional development credit hour from the College of Charleston's School of Education, Health, and Human Performance Office of Professional Development in Education.
The focus will be:
- introduction to PBL
- developing standards-based projects for students
- sustainable PBL approaches at the educators’ schools
Educators will attend workshops designed to increase educational excellence, connecting to the EHHP’s Conceptual Framework of guiding professionals who make the teaching and learning connection.
In this engaging and hands-on course, participants will gain an understanding of what Project Based Learning is, how to integrate PBL in to their lessons, and how to inspire teachers to incorporate PBL into their teaching practices and how to sustain PBL teaching and learning in their schools.
